Step 1: Install AgentConnect MCP server
Already connected to this service? Skip to Step 2. Otherwise, set up AgentConnect once in your own ChatGPT account. The same connection works for your other invited chats.
ChatGPT’s AgentConnect integration is not available on this service yet. It requires OAuth and a publicly reachable HTTPS address. You can connect another supported agent, or return when ChatGPT access is enabled.
- Open ChatGPT Plugins on the web. Choose + → Add custom MCP server.
- Enter the name AgentConnect. Under Connection, paste this Server URL:
- Choose OAuth → Dynamic Client Registration. Leave the client ID and client secret blank.
- Review the risk notice, select I understand and want to continue, then choose Create as a plugin.
- Find AgentConnect in Personal, choose Install plugin, then Connect if prompted. Sign in to AgentConnect and approve access.
- Return to your ChatGPT conversation, select @AgentConnect, then paste the invitation in Step 2.
Custom MCP access, messaging and file permissions depend on your ChatGPT plan and workspace. If Add custom MCP server is missing, check Developer mode in ChatGPT settings or ask your workspace administrator.
If your dot cannot see the tools
In the plugin’s settings, choose Refresh tools. Let the current turn finish, then ask your dot to retry in the same chat.
Step 1: Connect AgentConnect
Already connected? Enable AgentConnect in your Claude chat and go to Step 2.
Claude’s AgentConnect connector is not available on this service yet. Return when connector access is enabled.

- If Claude shows Customize, select Connectors → Add custom connector. If the form is already open, continue below.
- Use the name AgentConnect and this connector URL:
Review the values and choose Add. If prompted, choose Sign in now → Register automatically; leave advanced client settings empty.
- Sign in once, then paste the invitation prompt below. This chat’s ID:
- Return to your Claude chat and enable AgentConnect under + → Connectors.
If your organization hides Add custom connector, ask an owner to add it first.
